BIBLE 101

A Comprehensive Introduction to the Holy Bible

This course explores the structure, contents, and major genres and themes of the Holy Bible. Designed for people who are new to systematic study of scripture, this course focuses more on the big picture and less on the verses. At the end of the course, students should be able to locate passages of scripture, read scripture in an intellectually serious way, and value the Bible as a marvelous library of teachings, stories, and lessons that, with the help of the Holy Spirit, give us perspective, focus, and courage to follow God's will in our lives.
